Galvanized Pipe / Seamless & Welded Galvanized Pipe
Material:
Carbon Steel: Q195, Q215, Q235, SPHC, SPHD, SPHE etc.
Selection Recommendations:
- Corrosion resistance: Zinc-aluminum alloy plating (Galfan) for coastal areas.
- Welding: Mild steel (Q195-Q235) is easier to weld with pre-treatment.
- Cost control: Carbon steel + hot-dip galvanizing is most cost-effective.
Manufacturing Process
The production consists of base pipe manufacturing and galvanizing stages:
1. Base Pipe: Welded (ERW/SSAW) from steel coils or Seamless from round billets via punching and hot rolling.
2. Galvanizing:
• Hot-Dip Galvanizing (HDG): Thick zinc layer (50-200μm), superior corrosion resistance for outdoors.
• Electro-Galvanizing (EG): Thin zinc layer (5-30μm), smooth surface for precision parts.
Typical Application Areas:
Construction & Building
Fencing & Guardrails
Water & Gas Pipelines
Automotive & Appliances
Agriculture & Greenhouse
HVAC & Ductwork
