🚀 Product Description
The 7075 aluminum plate is a very strong grade of metal. It is well-known for its toughness, which is why it's frequently used in aerospace and aviation applications. It has excellent weight-to-strength ratio, making it ideal for highly stressed parts. When in the annealed condition, forming can be performed, which should be followed by heat treatment. 7075 aluminum is considered to be strong for aluminum.
Mechanical Properties:
• 7075-O: Maximum tensile strength ≤ 280 MPa (40,000 psi), Yield strength ≤ 140 MPa (21,000 psi). Elongation: 9-10%.
• 7075-T6: Ultimate tensile strength: 510-540 MPa (74,000-78,000 psi), Yield strength: 430-480 MPa (63,000-69,000 psi). Elongation: 5-11%.
• 7075-T651: Ultimate tensile strength: 570 MPa (83,000 psi), Yield strength: 500 MPa (73,000 psi). Elongation: 3-9%.
• 7075-T7: Ultimate tensile strength: 505 MPa (73,200 psi), Yield strength: 435 MPa (63,100 psi). Elongation: 13%.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What are the primary applications for 7075 aluminum?
Due to its high strength-to-weight ratio, it is widely used in aerospace, defense, aircraft fittings, missile parts, and meter gears.
Q2: How does the T6 temper affect the 7075 alloy?
The T6 temper provides peak strength by aging the material at specific temperatures, resulting in ultimate tensile strengths up to 540 MPa.
Q3: Is 7075 aluminum easy to weld?
No, 7075 aluminum is known for having low weldability but offers excellent formability and can be highly polished.
Q4: What is the benefit of the T7 temper?
The T7 temper reduces susceptibility to stress corrosion cracking by overaging the material, which creates larger eta precipitates.
Q5: What thicknesses are available for the 7075 aluminum sheet?
Standard thickness ranges from 0.2mm to 3mm, but customized sizes may be available upon request.
Q6: What standards do your aluminum plates comply with?
Our products meet international standards including ASTM B209, ISO 6361, and EN 573-1.
